Malibu is first global mid sized sedan for GM;

GM has redesigned the Chevy Malibu to be more fuel efficient and also sleeker and Chevy showed off the new Malibu recently at the Shanghai Auto Show. The current Malibu can be purchased from a Chevrolet Dealership Virginia and it is one of GM's most popular vehicles on the market. The new Malibu was revealed on a webcast and has features that make it similar to the Camaro. It is sportier than past Malibu models and other Malibu models and Chevy models can be purchased from a Canton Chevrolet Dealership. The Malibu was designed to use the same parts no matter where it is produced in the world, and will be sold throughout the world at Rome Chevrolet and other global dealerships.

The new Malibu will be GM's first mid sized sedan and it is designed to be global. It will exceed 30 mpg highway and be powered by a 4 cylinder engine. The car will sell about 400,000 units per year, and the 2013 Malibu will begun production in January 2012 instead of April of 2012 which was the previous production date. The CEO wants to push the development of new models after the company filed bankruptcy to help to regain sales and lost market shares. The Malibu is the top selling sedan in the United States for GM and Chevy wants to continue that success with the new Malibu.

There is no specific target for U.S. sales but GM hopes to at least sell as much as it has been of the Malibu, there is also no global sales target for the model. The share of the mid sized car segment for the Malibu fell to 7.1 percent this year from 9 percent in 2010. There will not be a V-6 engine available with the new Malibu, but the price will start at $22,735 including shipping charges which is along the same lines as the current Malibu.
